Whitney Batista, RMHCI
Hi, I’m Whitney and I believe that every individual holds the ability to heal themselves and that my role as a therapist is to guide and cultivate this ability. I work with adults in their journey towards healing and growth and have a focus on meeting clients where they are.
I integrate techniques from CognitiveBehavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to foster understanding, self-acceptance, and resilience. With these techniques, I take a person-centered approach to create a safe and affirming space where clients can feel seen, understood, and empowered to overcome challenges.
I have degrees in Psychology and Counselor Education and bring 18 years of experience working with children and families in the school setting. I work with individuals struggling with ADHD, anxiety, family changes, life transitions, stress, and grief/loss. I am committed to working with all individuals and am LGBTQ+ affirming. I believe in working together to create a path towards healing and growth.
